Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

Got several $10 refills off Ebay...they expire in 30 days..how can I extend the exp date on the refills? Buying a higher denomination will extend the exp date on the $10 ones as well? They are already loaded into account

This question is not related to this deal. I'm asking here since most of you are using refills and might know more about them

it was dead easy for me...

1. placed the order with my cc for sim by porting in the number
2. received the sim and inserted into the ph and then activated the sim online
3. nothing worked. temp password retrieval was also not worked
4. called att prepaid(number was given by someone here. and she completed the port in and recevied text.and said fine to activate with prepaid cards
5. then I went online by creating the account and loaded my $10 cards online...
6. everything started working.

only thing was I had to call to complete the port in by the rep.

When do they automatically charge $300 + tax to your credit card on file after everything's said and done?

Can I just load $300 discounted prepaid now and not freeze CC, then dispute the charge later if ti came through?

I believe getting a refund will be much more painful than a few hours of freeze.

Well the charge came through around midnight, even though I changed my card on the account. I guess they still use whatever you put at sign up.

Problem is I already bought $300 worth of prepaid cards on ebay (not yet delivered) 4 hours ago.

Best course of action?

Mind sharing the eBay seller? I'm also looking to get $300.

My timeline:

11:15am: froze the card

11:15-12pm- unsuccessfully tried to Port and activate myself...gave up

12ish-1pm- contacted customer service (took some time). Port successful. Asked to make the payment. I said I would do it online.

1pm- bought refill cards.

1:15pm: transaction on frozen card declined.

1:50pm- received pin. Entered...as soon as it reached 300, service activated.

1:52pm- unfroze card.

Hope it helps.

Edit: it took me about 2 hours to Port/activate the service, when I did it about a month ago. it should not take more than 15 min. see wiki on how to get in touch with a live person immediately.

If already activated and your card charged (before entering any refill pin), then I don't think there is much that can be done from ATT side. Options you may want to explore:
1. Is there a return window...unlikely though.
2. Cancel prepaid card order.
3. Sell prepaid cards or use them for another account, if you can't cancel.

I'd like to hear that answer because my friend wants to go from Cricket to AT&T Prepaid.

Thanks,

I ported from Sprint 1 year free plan as well. No issue faced related to Sprint or that plan.
