CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

My birthday is Dec 20th, and I started kindergarten at 4, but they've revised a lot of stuff since then.

Dinner will be the bbq boston butt I finally remembered to thaw so I could put it in the crock pot. Some steamed brown rice...I'm not sure what else.

Sorry getting caught up on the thread. I know my post is "so 2 days ago" :insert valley girl accent:

Nono

The world population continues to grow. That = more consumption of our planet's resources.

It's not a crock of shit. It's about our depletion and waste of our resources. Aaaack, thinking about how much and what goes into our landfills drives me crazy If we all make an effort to do our part it will make a difference. the following is a sad statement about how the US treats mother earth in regards to waste.

My husband's ultimate goal is to get off the grid. He has plans of solar and wind energy not to mention geothermal heating/cooling.

These are just 2 of the many things we are doing to kill our planet. Weeping
I just hate how emphasis is put almost exclusively on what consumers can do. While it's important, there could be a much bigger impact from higher business standards.

I feel like I do my part, but I'm not going to go too crazy - it's a balancing act. Yes, I drive a monster SUV. I got it when we started trying to get pregnant, it makes me feel safe and I'm not giving it up for now no matter who complains. But I do recycle everything I can. I try to sell or donate things rather than toss them. I support local farmers, etc.

I started school when i was 4 and did well academically. College at 17 was tough not academically but emotionally. Way overwhelmed with freedom and I abused the hell out of it.

This baby is due in August. Cut off date for K is Sept 1. I am definitely waiting until they are 5 turning 6 for K.
Our cutoff is Sept. 1 also. I'll have to wait and see what she's like. My birthday's June 20th. My parents didn't hold me back and I did fine. My brother (May 1st b-day) was held back and that was definitely the right decision for him, but I know boys don't tend to be ready as early as girls.

What's the open house for?

I went to Walgreen's at lunch. Not an amazing trip, but pretty good. Spent $5.50RR & $26oop + tax on 4 facial cleanser wipes, 2 hershey bliss, a physician's formula cream foundation and an edge shaving cream. Got a $3 RR back and $10 rebate to send in. There's a 15% off coupon for today only (whole purchase) on the front page for anyone who didn't see it.

It's the spring program at BT's school. All the preschool classes sing songs in the sanctuary of the church and then we get to visit the classroom. It's all he's talked about for weeks. laugh out loud
