Use coupon EUFYDBB9 during checkout to receive $50 off.

No cloud storage or subscription needed. Not sure if it records to the eufy homebase though or just locally on the doorbell itself - couldn't find the info on that yet.

Pros:
- No cloud storage subscription fees
- 2560x1920 (2K) resolution (better than Nest Hello and Ring Pro)
- 4GB of internal memory, no SD card needed (more than enough for 30-day storage)
- Operating temperature of -4°F to 122°F (much better than Nest Hello)

Cons:
(Some of these may be fixed in future software updates)
- Does not work with your existing mechanical chime (you must use their included electronic chime)
- No IFTTT support
- No RTSP (real-time streaming protocol) support
- Only supports 2.4 Ghz wi-fi (no 5Ghz)
- Currently can only add up to 3 additional account holders to the device (Nest has no limit)
- Currently does not integrate with other Eufy devices

The Eufy 2K doorbell is basically your non-cloud subscription alternative to the Nest Hello or Ring doorbells. By nature of this, you don't have remote access to live video streaming or recorded clips. If someone steals the doorbell, you won't have any way to recover the video. That's the inherent limitation of not having cloud support.

It's ankers home security brand. This is a good review of it https://youtu.be/w3iMKMZXoSQ
Been waiting for the Eufy promo coupon on this to come through, now that it's had time to get a little more reviewed and seems solid enough.

Bought a Ring 2 during Prime Day, but going to either send it back or flip it on eBay. Hadn't opened it yet to install, and not going to after the fiasco with Ring apparently just letting police departments access Ring data if they serve a "valid and binding ... [arstechnica.com], and it's still not clear that this means they require it be a warrant, and their wording gives little faith in that.

I'm fine with turning camera recordings over the police when it's needed, if it's them coming to me to ask for it and my choice (short of a warrant). I'm not so fine with some third party company doing it without it being a matter of an actual properly executed search warrant. That's before getting into their "Neighbors" program and all the police data sharing with that. Ring's handling of all of this has been super sub par and I have zero desire to deal with particularly paying them monthly for that now.
$108.60 out the door buying from Eufy.com using promo code EUFY4PSP. Possibly only available linking through rebate site Topcashb... That is were I got the code after signing up.

In 4 1.

Edit: Install was painless (15 mins). Didn't turn off the breaker - just be careful and don't touch the wires. Added account for wife. Only issue is that the time stamp on the live stream is wrong. Anker Forums say to reformat storage but that didn't work. I'm fine that it doesn't have integrations/api because it does a good job of eliminating false positives. Can't really find a use case where I'd want to adjust settings, other than turning off if you have a party, but the UI has a "mute for x mins/hours" so that makes more sense.

Never heard of this brand. Looks well rated, even though just a few reviews on it. Is this a new release or something? I like the free local storage and not having to pay a bullcrap monitoring fee. Is Eufy a dependable home security brand?

Eufy is Anker's smart home brand. I would have no hesitations about buying one of their products. I own two of their robotic vacuums and they have both been great. Already have a Nest Hello, otherwise I would highly consider this - mostly for the local storage option.

Looks like a great product, always wanted one and this one is rated very highly. Also from what I read first thing you should do when you get this is update the firmware to the latest to fix bugs. I am in for one. No monthly fees excellent.

It has live streaming to google/alexa? The rest is stored on an SD card which can be accessed and downloaded from the Eufy app.

Great review of the pros and cons:
