You do not want bluetooth for 'gaming' headsets generally speaking from a product stand point. Bluetooth controllers take up a lot of bandwidth, additionally there's output lag. The adapter this headset comes with should be lag free and free up the bluetooth channel for controllers, keyboards and mice.

Battery is user replaceable.

Have this headset. At first it has a lot of plastic-hinge-grinding noise. That wears down after use to be quieter. Had to replace the battery on mine. Left it plugged in too long and it must have over charged it. The receiver is really nice because you can plug in another audio source(phone, mp3 player, etc) and hear the audio through to your headphones.

That was my favorite feature, the two audio sources. I could phone call with my wife while gaming.... Great headset but feels cheap for the msrp

Anyone have experience with the "brown box" packaging? Everything is brand new except in a brown box?

Im an Xbox One user, this is very tempting. Does anyone have any comparison between this and Turtle Beach 600/700?

I'd guess the 3.5mm cable.

This is my daily driver, good for games or media consumption. I paid more than this and enjoy it. Battery life is easily the worst thing about it, but the battery is user-replaceable.

Any estimation on how long it will hold a charge in use and inactive? I assume the battery lifetime is also not so good. Can you share any more first-person experience regarding that?

I've had mine a few years and have been really happy with this headset. Love the two audio source feature! They are not as sound dampening as my Sony's, but that's not their role and were 1/3 the cost. Might pickup a backup set for this price.
