Can you use the car as a WiFi router at home LOL
No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.
5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

This seems stupid but what does "lifetime" refer to if it's a monthly fee? I don't see anything "lifetime" in the link.

Also, does it transfer when you change vehicles for us leasing?

Does this come with a sim card, or they just activate the service on your car?

OnStar will keep it at the $15 price point instead of the $25 one, as long as you subscribe before 10/31.

It's built in on my car, so just gave them my VIN.

I purchased this the other day for my 2019 Ram 1500. It has worked great for me. I'm working on a remote wind farm in SD. Cell reception is horrible on my phone out here but the truck seems to get a signal just fine. Now, Im able to do all my reports in my truck.

It was previously $25 per month for non-ATT customers. I feel it's for sure worth it at $15.

I'm a very techy guy but I don't understand why i would need this or others.
I just use my Hotspot on my phone if i need wifi connectivity and i have a Tablet i pay 10 and month to be on my unlimited data plan.

Is it because i could just use my apps on entertainment unit (Like MyLink) without using my phone? Not saying it's a bad deal but what is the main use for using built in wifi, enlighten me.

So guessing there's no SIM card to this, any way to get this plan working on my phone?

OnStar is a telematics/concierge service. AT&T is a telecom.
