No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.

5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

What's the difference between OnStar and at&t?
I'm guessing that on-star offers WiFi connectivity through ATT. On-Star is equipped on Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC.

FYI: This deal also works for RAM owners through either Uconnect or XMguardian.

No love for tesla.
$100 for premium connectivity is cheaper. When it comes and price is rumored but should be within that range.

Why would you even consider this for Tesla since it's not even an option.

I'm a very techy guy but I don't understand why i would need this or others.
I just use my Hotspot on my phone if i need wifi connectivity and i have a Tablet i pay 10 and month to be on my unlimited data plan.

Is it because i could just use my apps on entertainment unit (Like MyLink) without using my phone? Not saying it's a bad deal but what is the main use for using built in wifi, enlighten me.
Your car's antenna > your phone's antenna.

Better reception and thus better disbursement of that signal to end users connected to the WiFi network in your car.

You know how your phone loses battery faster in a low signal area because it's sending out a signal of its own to meet the AT&T tower's signal halfway? Well imagine your car's antenna doing that for you with a car battery + engine powering it.

This is mainly for people that are on the road a lot but still need to get data wherever they are.

This deal is not exclusive to GM vehicles. Also available on my Ford. Only $10/month for current AT&T subscribers.
Just re-upped my wife's Pacifica. I had the prepaid 24 month plan at $18.75/month. The cancelled it, gave a prorated refund, and I'm on the $15/month on auto-renew. Saved me $50 with one phone call. Thanks, OP!

Thanks, I can see that. I thought about that after posting, the connectivity would have to be better.

My truck has full signal in an area where my phone is lucky to get 2 bars. I need the internet for work and I'm working out of my truck most of the time.

Not to mention you basically get an extra 22gb of High speed data for $15. I know my niece uses the hell out of our family plan data cap on her iPad so we often pay for extra high speed internet by the end of the month.

whats the benefit of this if my phone plan has unlimited data?
I had the same question until I started using mine. I have a macbook in my car and I am in IT, so instead of having to teather my phone and, then see why my teather link isn't working half the time, I use use my car wifi. My car does have to be on, but it saves me a few seconds or min of aggravation.

Best question asked on SD thus far. Lol.

Best keep it parked in the living room though!
