No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.

5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

Yes, the hotspot with eSIM is asking for $80. Not worth it.

New to this. So OnStar is needed. I don't know any aftermarket stereo devices that come with OnStar. Any body know a way around to get this in older car with no OnStar?

i already have unlimited for $20.50 per month plus tax? is it now $15+tax.

ok i have 2015 chevy equinox
I was using unlimited plan $20/ MO on my Audi A6. Got charged on 3rd September for the month and then I noticed this plan. Just upgraded the plan in my audi connect, so it will be effective from next mo month, as this month's money has been deducted. But yes, it's included tax. And I have been using extensively.
Average 2-3 GB / days

Can anyone in TX comment on whether there are any extra fees/taxes on top of the $15/month?
$15 includes tax for me.

Does your vehicle have built-in WiFi without the use of any add'l hardware? If so, just go that route instead. (If your vehicle has OnStar, just push the blue button and tell them you want this deal.... much easier!)

If it's an older car, but built 1996 or later, and built-in WiFi is a no-go, then you'd need to use AT&T's Spark to plug in your OBD port under the steering wheel area.

whats the benefit of this if my phone plan has unlimited data?
The benefit is for others to connect their gadgets and your laptop, iPad, etc. if you have a hotspot on your phone then this is redundant. Not everyone is capable of creating a hotspot with their phone though.

Not a good deal. Get yourself a AT&T unlock Netgear nighthawk hotspot. Sign up for the $30 unlimited plan and you can take it wherever you go it's better than this junk that station. I've been using my AT&T unlock not your hotspot for the past two years in my pocket without any problems whatsoever

Really? Is that still available for $30/30 days?
