I'm starting a new thread since the existing one is for new line or port in.

I called Xfinity mobile customer care to ask if they are offering any promotion to existing customers to upgrade to latest iPhone 11 phones and I was informed, in no uncertain terms , that I'm eligible for $250 Visa card if I were to buy a new iPhone 11 (Max or otherwise). He even read some written promotion to confirm when I told him I was suspicious of that offer. I even pointed out their website states that a new line or a port in is required... but I was informed that is not required.

The only requirement is I will have to buy the phone at a local Xfinity store.

Recommended: Place your order for the new iPhones on or after September 20th, 2019 *IN STORE ONLY*

Try your luck at your local store. YMMV.

I'm thinking that I can activate a new line and port the old number to Google voice to receive the $250, no?

I've seen vague and incomplete references to it here and I don't see why this wouldn't work since I've had the original line for more than a year.

The only possible snag I can see is that the original phone is not paid off, but I'm almost certain I was able to cancel my ex's service while still making payments on the phone. Even if I pay the original phone off now, they just might have some kind of crazy extra fine print about not being able to cancel a line within so many months of opening a different new one or something. Sneaky Sneaky.

Does upgrade mean you have to give them your old phone?

If you shop on Amazon, just buy the Amazon GC for the XM Visa card amount and apply to your Amazon account balance.

but why would you want to do that/? the prepaid card you can use anywhere, the amazon card you can only use on amazon

I've read every comment here, and I'm still not sure if it's been confirmed that you can get a $250 prepaid GC when simply buying an iPhone 11 from Xfinity Mobile for an existing line?
(no port-in, no trade-in)
I've been working on finding an answer to that, and so far from what I can tell you have to upgrade/trade in if you don't want to activate a new line.

Prepaid card expires in 180 days and some might carry a fee if you forget to use up all your balance past expiration

I'm curious too. Xfinity website wants us to take it to a store for a trade-in value. I'll find out more tomorrow.
Were you able to find out what they're offering for the iPhone X?

I paid off my iPhone XS Max and have the phone to my mom now. My line is replaced by iPhone 6s Plus, is it possible for me to upgrade to iPhone 11 without trade in iPhone 6s Plus ?

Seems that this is for "upgrade" only. Does this mean we turn in our current handset (50% paid) in exchange for $250? If that's the case then this may not be as good of a deal as hoped since my iPhone X is worth more than that...

I was just told this on another support chat.

I told him my device was paid off which it is. This was the response.

"In that case you would be eligible for the offer even doing the pre-order as you would do an NDEL process (New Device on Existent Line) just remember that the order for that must be placed in-store."

"Also, make sure with the store rep that an NDEL is done (New Device on Existent Line) so you can apply for the offer."

The offer states "Existing Line", so no, no added line or porting necessary.
"Upgrades will be completed via our New Device Existing Line (NDEL)...."
