I'm starting a new thread since the existing one is for new line or port in.

I called Xfinity mobile customer care to ask if they are offering any promotion to existing customers to upgrade to latest iPhone 11 phones and I was informed, in no uncertain terms , that I'm eligible for $250 Visa card if I were to buy a new iPhone 11 (Max or otherwise). He even read some written promotion to confirm when I told him I was suspicious of that offer. I even pointed out their website states that a new line or a port in is required... but I was informed that is not required.

The only requirement is I will have to buy the phone at a local Xfinity store.

Recommended: Place your order for the new iPhones on or after September 20th, 2019 *IN STORE ONLY*

I went to my local store in NJ (looking to upgrade to iPhone 11) but was told that since my phone current phone (BYOD iphone 6) was not bought from xfinity mobile, I'm not eligible for this offer.
Was anyone who was using their own phone on xfinity mobile able to successfully use this offer?

Unrelated question but want to ask fellow xfinity users.... How do you do video calling on Samsung line of phones? Not with external apps like viber or whatsapp.. Is there something built in for video calling like FaceTime, for lack of better word?

I have been using an iPhone 6+ (phone was from AT&T) on xfinity for about 2 years and then finally upgrading the phone to iPhone 11 over this weekend. When I checked the reward site today, it shows my gift card is pending.

Lifetime iPhone user who just switched sides so I am not an uninformed idiot -- I haven't used it but there's an app on my new note 10+ called Duo.

Glad its working for you! Upgrade all the way. There were even customer reps suggesting I port out and port back in I was like why the France should I do that lol.

Do the phones have to be in stock at XM stores to be eligible for this promo or can they order them for me ? I have two reps telling me differently. One said phones are oos and promo wont apply if they order it for me. The other one said it still does

Even if you paid in full, their unlock policy states you have to pay one service bill first , then you can request an unlock:

I checked mine with a free IMEI checker and says it's unlocked, not sure how accurate that is. I didn't submit any requests because the in-store rep did say that 48 hrs after purchase my phone should unlock automatically.

You have to wait 1 "full" billing cycle.
