Great deal! I purchased 2 last month @ 59.99 and love the phones. The battery will last 2 days easily, and 3 days if you are not a heavy user. I get 9-10 hours of screen time across 2 days. If you already have cricket...buy a new number from ebay for $7 and port it in to cricket. Throw away the sim card and the $55 service when you receive it...and viola! $55 phone that is $179 everywhere else.
3gb vs 4gb ram won't make or break your device. your phone performance will depend more on the processor coupled with the manufacturer's implementation of android on their hardware. i'd suggest doing more research on the device themselves (reviews, etc.) before writing it off simply based on ram.

think of it this way - the manufacturer isn't going to put in 8gb of ram if the processor isn't even powerful enough to make use of it (and vice versa).
What are people running that 3gb of ram lags? I get virtually zero lag all day with this phone and the battery life is unreal. The best phone I've ever owned.

Hasn't it been this price for several weeks now, or was a bit more?

So were on the 4 for $100 plan and I want to replace 2 phones. Who do I purchase ebay numbers from? Then after port do i just put old sims in new phones. Not quite sure on right steps? Will the phones end up costing $55 plus $7?

Does anybody know how to do this without getting booted from the cricket 5 for 100 plan? What would happen if I port in number from ebay, select unlimited plan to add under current account , use my old sim card and not activate new line? Thanks for any advice.

After the port discard the new sim cards and put in your old sim cards. Should be about $14 + tax for 2 $7 phone numbers to port from ebay and $55 each phone from Cricket.

Anything but At&t ( they own cricket) needs to run on Sprint/T-Mobile or Verizon towers.

Once unlocked after 6 months, will this phone work on Verizon or is it GSM only?

You may not be able to say for sure, but theoretically could I purchase one of the eBay numbers you listed, then unlock with the service wsush listed and drop my Verizon sim card in?
