Sorry no deal, I need 2 turntables AND a microphone...
Just to clarify for those new to vinyl. Phono cartridges output 2-5 "milli"volts. Most DVD players, CD players, TVs, etc output 1-2 volts. The majority of receivers made in the last 10 years dont have a phono input (designed for the 2-5 millivolts). So to step it up you can use the turntables built in phono preamp or set it to 'Thru' and use a separare phono preamp. Something cheap like the Behringer microphono PP400 is an okay starting point for about $24 as an outboard phono preamp. This will step the 2-5 milivolt signal up to 1 volt for most receivers. Then you can connect it to any input (CD, AUX, etc). Theres also an EQ curve applied to the signal. Records are cut with bass EQ'ed out and the phono preamp adds it back in. They did this so they could squeeze more time on each side of the LP. Cool vintage engineering stuff!

This info is obvious to many of us, but hopefully useful to spmeone new to this.
I bought this last time it was on sale and I've been very happy with it. I'm not an audiophile and I've never owned a record player before, but this table seems well built, it was easy to set up, and it's simple to operate.

The AT100E is not just a different stylus but a different cartridge... not like it's just a different needle on the same cart.

Anyone owners care to compare this to an AT-60LP if you've used both?

Ha! I got the AT60LP for a Christmas gift. It was returned the following week. The AT60LP is nowhere in the league of the Teac TN300 seires. I have it in glossy white and paid 399. This is a steal! You won't regret this purchase. Amazing quality and sound at an unbelievable price. Not to mention it looks great. I get compliments on the looks and sound quality when guests come over.

My old turntable is quartz locked. Does anyone know why that seems to have fallen out of favor?

Got this deal last time. Been playing great the past few months, but recently been hearing a humming noise on my speaker with the white RCA attached. I'm new to turntables, anybody have a clue on remedying this?
