No they did not. The keypad are still on the same line as the old y7000. Even the reviews states how awkward it is to type on this stuff (check davelee in ytube). I use the keypad alot and I can't transition from a desktop to a laptop if it messes my number. Hence the reason I returned 2 of y7000 to Costco. I tried, I really did, but the awkwardly is just too much.
just to make sure we understand each other the numbers 7,8,9 are aligned to the the top of the keyboard. that's the main reason it feels awkward. you have to position your finger 1 half inch above where the keypad should be. it's hard to explain on text but it's easily distracting when you start typing on it with statistics and Excel numbers.
Until then I'll probably not take a legion for gaming. The Acer predator hello 300 has the nearest perfect keypad I have tested. Waiting to see if that gets 17 inch version...

Are you talking about calculator style numbers to the right of the alphabet?
I keep getting a "coupon expired" notice with NEWLEGEND25, but if you can get it to work, it's a solid deal. The 15" version may also still be available for a similar price. Remember to use your id.me discount if you're military, etc. because it's stackable. I got the 15" yesterday and upgraded to the RTX 2060 for $1088 before tax. I don't think you'll see a better BF deal with these specs, but I'm watching anyway just in case.
Just FYI, NEWLEGEND22 was what I used for the 15". Not sure where these coupons are coming from, but it's killer.

I had the y7000 and I never got used to it. End up returning it to costco. Lenovo really needs to fix that strange keypad position.

My local Costco has this same setup with a 500gb ssd for $1050 right now.

This Lenovo Y540 deal is pretty solid.
