The Electra V2 offers stereo sound, but according to the box and the store page, it supports 7.1 virtual surround sound, through the Razer Surround software app. This is not the case—at least not anymore. Currently, Razer Surround only supports the Razer Kraken and Kraken X headsets. If you're buying this headset expecting software support—don't.

This or that? Jk. Lol.
Just something to keep in mind or look into to avoid disappointment. The surround sound is usually pc only. Consoles would just be stereo using the 3.5mm cord. My guess is that is the case here.

My turtle Beach 600 for both PS4 and Xbox went bad a little over 6 months of use on each. In game Explosions cause speaker to make a really loud high pitch noise which is extremely annoying. Just fyi.

Did you do the updates? I'm seeing on reddit that a lot of people had to do updates to make the 700s work.

Lol. Too many headset options out there, and it seems like TB, Razer, and others are having quality issues. I guess I could always buy and try.

XB1 Has Dolby and Windows Sonic for Headphones. Could add a simulated surround for the 7.1 headphones.

Got Steelseries Arctic 7 recently and it much butter than Razer Kraken. They used really cheap plastic in Kraken and it just snapped in two pieces.
