Can someone tell whether the hub can control two separate garage doors (each has their individual door opener motor) with an extra sensor (since the hub pairs with one garage motor, I am thinking it I will need two hubs to control two separate doors)? Please advise. In response to whether you would need two hubs for two sensors/garage doors-no you don't. I have one hub and it links to both sensors.

This only supports a few major brands. It doesn't support a lot of the wholesale "white label" garage door openers that mass home builders use.

If you have a smartthings hub the myq can integrate with Google/Alexa through the use of a smart app. It works best with a second sensor but you just say on (open) or off (close). This has been working very well for a few months.

For the second sensor I use a Visonic MCT-340. An added bonus is that it displays the garage temperature. This has worked for ~2 years.
Correct, you hit a button on the app and the transmitter (mounted next to your garage door unit, connected to WiFi) sends an open/close signal and uses the included sensor (attached to the garage door) to monitor the open/closed status of your door.

I have one and it's pretty handy. It glitched out on me once and I had to re-pair the whole system but it's been fine since then. It also has programmable alerts that'll pop up as a notification on your phone. I have one that notifies me if the garage is open for more than 15 minutes. It's nice to check when I get to work to make sure I didn't forget to close the garage too.

It was a bit of a pain to set up initially since our opener wasn't on the compatible list, but it seemed to just cycle through a bunch of signals til it successfully paired with our garage door.

I think you can ask Google to close the door but not open it (or vice versa, can't remember); you get a message that you can't do it for security reasons. But you can always just use the app to open/close remotely.

I got mine on sale - I would recommend it for $20-30 but I wouldn't have paid too much more since it's performing a pretty simple job.

It's slightly annoying that when you use the app to close the door, the transmitter beeps loudly for about 10 seconds before the door starts to close, but I understand it's probably for safety. But the sound is really loud and I've considered blocking the speaker or something.

Overall, it's fine and it does the job yours expect it to do. I can't believe I had that much to say about this to be honest.

So this is supposedly optimized for Amazon deliveries, but no Alexa support? But appears to work thru Google (voice)?

"Alexa, open garage" could be rather handy for us.

Just an fyi. It doesnt work thru Google. So security reasons as they claim you can only ask the status of the door and close the door if I recall. Google will not open the door. Hope that helps.

I haven't connected mine to google. I only use the phone app, but there is a link on my MyQ app that says I can ask google to close or check status of door.

Meross gets hardwired into your garage door opener. MyQ is set up like you set up a new wireless opener then then sends a wireless signal to the opener.

MyQ works well... the limitation when on Google is definitely that you can't open the door. You can check the status and you can close it.
