Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

has anyone heard this, that credit check fails or goes bad once you freeze / unfreeze your credit? I last applied for a credit card 24 months back!!

I did these deals earlier this year when Simple choice was eligible plan but not any more until they specifically state that Simple Choice is eligible.
How can you save thousands with Simple Choice? For a 8-line account, you are paying roughly $175 for simple choice after 12% corporation discount (it will be higher if you don't have this). For Magenta, you are paying $240 but you get unlimited 4G speed data and a bunch of benefit including 4G hotspot data, in-plane wifi and free Netflix. Compared $22/month vs $30/month, most people don't care to pay $8 extra for unlimited 4G data. On Simple Choice if you want extra data, you are paying like 2GB/$15.
Need to buy my family IPhone 11.
1. Buy 150 online x4 = $600
2. Trade it in and get 580 x 3 = 2,320
3. 3 months x $140 Magenta Plan = $420
Without the phone plan, how is the phone free if i will still pay $70 for each phone on top of the rebate (650 IPhone 11 - 580 rebate each) = $70 each phone (when i get my rebate obviously mailed) and each phone $150 = making $220 for an IPhone 11 each? (excluding magenta plan in the calculations)
am i missing something or its $220 for each IPhone after everything (not including phone plan)?

If you have to BUY a phone to trade in, and you are not sticking with Tmobile, it is not as great as you have outlined.
This deal is best for people trading in an old phone and moving to TM. That is the entire reason for this promo. Some just want to work around it.

But it was eventually unlocked. He did get the rebate though ! My 2 cents ! Not worth the risk !
