Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

I ran into the problem as well. I bought 3 iPhone, one 11 pro and 2 11 purple. One was accepted ( the pro) while the 2 11 purple was denied. Call the promotion phone line and they told me the recipe look good and call back early December. The T-Mobile rep told me everything look good and they should be able to manually process the rebate in early December.
I bought a purple iPhone 11 too. I wonder if they have some newbie rejecting the rebates for the purple ones.

Is it mandatory to use the new line on new phone or you can just use your old number on new iPhone and just keep new line number unused.

From past experience they will probably add tax on original price so that might be around $40. Probably end up costing about same.
They tax on the discounted price, not the original price.

I don't see why not. Just make sure the number actually ported over to Boost first; make a call or send a text to be sure. Then you'll have to get your actual account # and pin from them, which can be done via online chat.

I sent my iphone 6S to Assurant using the shipping label supplied by T-mobile. I dropped the package in a USPS mailbox. It has been one week. The tracking information is still not available on the USPS website. Is it possible the package is lost or stolen by USPS employee? If that is the case, what should I do??
always get a receipt from the teller!
they are probably just lazy but it's a bit weird that they didn't even scan it.
Wait, so you didn't even go in a usps location and drop it off in the inside bin?

I have been seeing on the news lately that people steal packages from the usps boxes that are Outside.

Good luck.

I did and yesterday I received the trade-in amount as well. No issue with a locked phone.

Is it possible and does it make sense to buy USPS insurance when shipping the trade-in device? I see messages about some devices not making the destination. Hope the insurance covers lost shipments?
I don't think it's possible on first class packages. You would have to ship via priority mail.

Even so, say they lose your iPhone 6s that you paid $150 for at Best Buy, they will not give you $580 (value of the rebate)

Why risk your own number with Boost? Just get a port-in number from ebay for like 7 bucks and use that to port-in to Boost. Then go to Costco and port your actual number to T-Mobile.

For those thinking about jumping on the deal today, might be prudent to wait until Friday after T-Mobile's Magenta Friday announcement. The risk is obviously whether Costco will match.

This is the reason why waiting may be a bad idea. The offer of accepting iPhone 6s is still pretty generous, and at some point (likely soon), that's going away. The fact they don't even accept the 7 should be a concern
