Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.

I'm not sure it matters when they receive the trade in, it matters more on when you purchased the phone/submitted the form. I purchased 11/3; completed form 11/5. They received phone 11/9 but there were issues that didn't get resolved until 11/26. I received my notification of the rebate card on 12/3.

If you don't have a bill credit within 3 days of them getting your phone, I would call as there could have been an issue. I never got any communications from them about issues or even that my bill credit posted. I had to call them to find out there was an issue and then log into my account to see my bill credit. Had I not called and followed up, I likely would have missed out on the promo.

I'm not sure the timeline of purchase is the key.

I bought on 11/2, submitted on 11/4, sent trade-in on 11/4, received delivery notice on 11/6, received credit on 3 units on 11/7 & 11/8, received 1 credit on 11/15 for a "adjustment of credit value".

I still have not received any notice of my rebate since then. (of course now that I am writing, I hope I'll get it today at some time) I am a new T-Mo customer for this promo.
Update: did not receive any text msg from T-Mo yet, but looking at my rebate status on my online account now shows all 4 phones as 'Approved'

Good news! Your submission has been approved. We will be sending your reward soon.

Guys.. I got screwed. Added two lines. First line traded a iphone 7 that I owned. For second, bought from offerup and looks like that phone is unpaid with t-mobile. The trade-in was adjusted to $0 and now the rebate will be denied.

Is there anything to salvage the situation?

This might help someone. I called to accept the lower value of my trade in. They guy i spoke to did not know much. First he said everything is good. I explained about reduced fair market value. Then he said oh yeah i see an error here. Then mentioned a value of $59. I knew that is lower than what they offered in Costco store. I told him I want to accept that. He did not know how to do that. I told him to at least add a note stating that i accepted lower value.

Then i called back again and talked to someone else and explained the conversation I had with previous rep. She then did something and said it is now accepted.

So if you call and they seem to be clueless, try another rep!

1 of my trade-ins was a Boost 6s+ "This device has not reached financial eligibility.", so that may help with a few questions others have been asking.

Status update:

Nov 22 - shipped all four old phones
Nov 24 - USPS showed phones delivered
Nov 26 - bill credit received for 2 of the 4 phones

Dec 1 - call tmobile, rep says the other 2 phones have to have an adjusted credit manually accepted (apparently the wireless advocate rep at Costco put those 2 phones as 'Apple-Generic' but one was AT&T and one was T-mobile). He got those manually accepted and I should have the final 2 bill credits.

Will update when I receive virtual rebate cards.

Good luck all.
Follow up:
Dec 2 - bill credits for final 2 phones appear. Now at 4/4 for bill credits. 3 of 4 of the Rebate statuses show as "Received". 4th one shows "Denied"
Dec 3 - call Tmo about the denied status (after hours) - got call center in India, person said they could not see what was attached only the reasons the rebate got denied (poor image quality or blurry). I knew this was impossible bc it's not blurry. They recommend I resubmit. Based on previous posts by others, I thought it may be an issue with the purple iphone 11.
Dec 4 - call Tmo, get transferred to rebate line. They say 3 of the 4 have the required documentation and they can actually see what I submitted, and say, "it is very clear, there won't be any problem with the required images here". For the 4th one they say, "no attachments were included, most likely our system couldn't handle the amount of people doing submissions. You'll have to email our exception group after 30 days of the Tmobile account creation. If you try to email prior to that, the system automatically thrashes the email."

So, 12 more days to wait, then rebate processing from then. Will update again after.

Just received all 4 of my text msg with rebate card details.

Even though 1 of my trade-ins had an issue with description/value. It was corrected 7 days later. But my rebates all still came at the same time.

Applause

Since you received all the rebates, when are you going to cancel the tmo account?

I am trying now to 'bank transfer' the rebate cards. I keep getting an error 'use a valid routing number'

my first rebate card transferred fine with no fee. but all 3 others are giving me this routing error.

as soon as my 40 days pass with T-Mo, I plan on porting out or cancelling.
