Are any online orders being processed anymore? Did one yesterday, cancelled in an hour. Trying again now. Can't get to a store anytime soon - not too close here.
They just may be out of stock temporarily. You just need to keep checking.
You could call them to see if they plan on getting more.
That said, "getting more" might mean i3, so your best bet is to call your local store and see their supply before heading over.

Should I get DR or SR ram? I am looking to get 2x 8gb (for a total of 16) but I want it to be the best one....

Or would it make more sense to get 1x 16 for a total of 20gb?

Can I hook this up and use it like a desktop?

I would want to put in an adapter to allow me to use my wireless keyboard / mouse. Plug in via usb to expand storage with external hard drive. Plug HDMI from laptop into a monitor and have display output there.

Will that all work?

Yes I have that setup. Just look for a USB 3.0 docking station. They have a few monitor outputs, audio out, ethernet, and a bunch of USB 2 and 3 ports.

Note: you cannot use a USB-C hub or docking station. Those require that your USB-C port can output video, which this one can't. So get the USB 3.0 one.

Get single stick of 16gb because if you need more later you can without wasting 3 sticks.

Imagine the horror if it happened the other way around. This would become a class action lawsuit for false advertisement.
Well. They always put in a better one so no false advertisement there. Smilie

I ordered yesterday morning at 9am

No confirmation email send nor did I receive a cancellation. Order status just says received. Expecting a cancellation at some point

Someone convince me not to buy this... I already have a gaming pc, a 2014 MacBook air, a pixel slate, and a Samsung chromebook plus... I want it though for a mobile video editing rig....

See page 4 from jackt's post

"The laptop comes with a M.2 SATA interface SSD, but I replaced it with a HP EX920 1TB NVMe SSD. The new SSD works just fine, so this laptop is compatible with NVMe drives. I ran a backup using Macrium Reflect running on the laptop's Windows installation and then restored the image to the new drive using a Macrium-created recovery thumb drive. However, the new SSD but it wouldn't boot using this method. So I created a USB recovery drive in Windows and reinstalled Windows to the new SSD using that. Had to reinstall all the software and re-configure everything because this method puts in a fresh Windows installation. Hit ESC at power-on to go into the BIOS menu. One thing I should have tried was running the initial backup using the Macrium Reflect recovery thumb drive, then restoring the image using the same thumb drive program. That may have worked and would have helped me avoid setting up Windows again.

There is a space next to the battery where a 2.5" drive would fit, but if you look at the photo I attached of the inside of the back cover you'll see that there's a lattice-like grid on it to give that empty space some rigidity. I haven't tried, but it looks like you cannot put a 2.5" drive there."
