i want to get more rams...will i need to remove the existing rams or is there an empty slot next to it.
what am looking for (name, link) as far as rams...i just want 8 more gb. Im only asking because i just dont know

I would recommend adding a matched 4gb stick (they were $12 on ebay over the weekend) or
Pickup one of the two 16GB kits with the links in wiki. The $71 will be 3200mhz matched crucial.

No, not this adaptor. The popular display link docking stations will work, e.g. dell D6000.
That's $135! I don't want extra USB ports. Just USB-C to HDMI and something under $20 would be nice. Suggestions?

It will be possibly $279 but who knows the new arrivals will still be i5s. If you want I would recommend go to a store and grab one.

Same, I checked the bios and the fan was already turned off?
I definitely have the right model. My fan does turn on but it's definitely not loud. This was watching videos and downloading a game. Maybe if I pushed it harder it would be louder but honestly I have heard much worse. Laptop stayed cool through out. Also battery life seems great. I played around with the laptop for 3 hours and I had minimal battery drainage. But surprisingly it seemed to lose a decent amount of battery when I put it to sleep and I went to sleep. It had 60% battery when I slept and 36% when I woke up.

Will this work to hook a second monitor via USB-C? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07THJG...YDbQMVZE84
Do you mean you need 3 displays include the laptop screen or you just want to add one more screen? If you just want to add one more screen, just use the HDMI port on the laptop.

Yes, 3 displays including the laptop screen. Looking for a compatible cable. I assumed any USB 3.1 Type-C to HDMI would work, but perhaps not? Do you know if something like this will work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075V68...B01M3PTUV6

The other methods you are referring to is to put heatsinks on it?
Not sure how much room is in this laptop, but I have a Dell Venue 8 that had throttling, and there were reports of people using copper sheets for it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7nYB9rm03A

For the Dell Venue 8: "Reductions in temperature of over 12*C with this mod, you can play any game without it eventually overheating."
Funniest comment of the YT video when someone commented about him overheating the battery (he's right; the extra copper would PULL heat from the battery and not insulate it like the replier thought):
"I don't trust someone who can't spell copper or electromagnetic.
Do you know what a heatsink is? Why would applying a giant copper heatsink to a battery make it run hotter? I'll say it again, copper is a conductor of heat, not an insulator, and more mass = more thermal capacity."

Can someone who has added a 4GB stick for 8GB total post their passmark scores?

I'm curious about the difference between 16GB and 8GB price vs performance ratio

Didn't a few degrees make a huge difference in the fan running and shutting off?
Not really. The heatsink is too weak for the CPU. looking at the surface pro 7 Microsoft is cooling it passively with multiple heatpipes. This heatsink has one weak heatpipes. And the fan is too shallow, causing the noise. If it had more depth they could have ran it slower to move more air.

Anyone can confirm that adding more ram will make the fan chill out a little
