Normally $89.97, on sale for $49.97

Cheaper than tekton on amazon with the same 1/2" 250 ft lb limit ($57.00) with this sale.

Tekton seems to have good reviews but only 24 ratcheting teeth, these have 32.

oh I understand what you mean by 25-49. The range on the Tekton is greater. But you really shouldn't be using this type of wrench on lower range torque and use a much smaller wrench

The specs look similar but the HD one wins for several reasons
1 - Price, it's cheaper
2 - HD is everywhere
3 - HD model is lifetime warranty. I've returned one that I had for 10+ years and was able to exchange it for a different model and get cash back for the difference since I bought a cheaper one.

The Husky goes down to 30 ft lbs actually. It says 50 in the description but it actually goes down to 30.

It has higher ratcheting teeth meaning you have better angles in tight spaces.

Husky has a lifetime warranty on ratchets, not 90days like Tekton. You can also replace it at any home depot.

EDIT: Tekton has a lifetime warranty my mistake.

Another point of comparison, Tekton is made in Taiwan, Husky is Made in China.

Just bought one 2 weeks ago, works good. Ordered this to return with the higher priced receipt, thanks you.

Tekton has a lifetime warranty on their ratchets and torque wrenches.

This appears to be identical to the $57 Tekton wrench, just rebranded. Likely no lifetime warranty, but even cheaper than the Husky so maybe worth it if using infrequently. Any thoughts?

The Husky is +/- 3% (Tekton and that one are +/-4% and at least Tekton includes a cal cert, even if it's not NIST tracable) and the Husky has a finer drive. If you really don't care about warranty (like, at all) then yea, it's a decent deal.

Thanks for the comparison, makes sense. Its equivalent to paying $17 extra for a lifetime warranty on a $40 item.

Well the Husky is only $10 more, $5 if you can get the coupon mentioned in the post. And you are basically paying to buy it once, ever. If the no-name one breaks, you are out the $40.

I've now got 3x $5 coupons for trying to get this working but all are in store only, and I don't want to risk missing this sale price. Thanks to the OP!

The 3/8 version of this torque wrench also appears to be on sale for the same price. It does 20-100 ft lbs

Would the 3/8 be suitable for lug nuts? Not sure if it'd have enough leverage for those overzealously tightened lugs, but it's generally more useful...
