-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

Last time this deal was around it DID include the Pro models but colors and capacities were limited.
Another thing to do is make sure you get the new iPhone FROM COSTCO IN PERSON and don't agree to them shipping you another model they don't have in stock. This will convert your $700 rebate into monthly credits from Tmo and you're locked in.
Can you port over a number for the new line?
Can you trade in 2 phones, get 2 new ones, and only add one line?

I have done this twice. They can be locked to a carrier, but must not be iCloud locked. They do not care if there is a sim card in it or what account it is on. One of mine was a purchase online.

If we buy an used iPhone 7 locally how do we check that it is not iCloud locked? Anyway to tell before making the purchase or once we buy and reset to factory default it will no longer be iCloud locked? So pretty much any iPhone 7 will work as long as no cracked screen and can be carrier locked as well correct? How about minor scratches on the phone, but not on screen?

I would like to get a new iPhone and have an old iPhone 6+ I can trade in. Am I correct to assume I can trade that phone in (possibly) towards a new iPhone and start a new cheapest line available, then cancel that line once I received the rebate? Which mean my cost is minimal in terms of dollar spent and trading that iPhone 6+ in to upgrade to one of the newer iPhone? Thank you in advance.
