Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

T-Mobile One business plan eligible?
Yes. Just a reminder, TMOB has a max number of 8 lines. If you are maxed out, then you would need to change plan(a no-no) to qualify. Best course of action would be:

Open a new account(Essentials, Magenta...etc) with a new SSN(spouse, family...etc).

I'm not able to register for the promotion either. IMEI not valid (iphone 11 space gray). Called t-mobile... the CSR pretty much admitted they don't know what the problem and how long it will take to fix. Asked me to keep trying every couple of days... if the issue is still not fixed after 30days, then CSR can submit them manually.. until then asked me to keep trying.

yes, they didn't sign you up for the offer.
they need to provide mailing label
same thing happen to me on the last deal and i had to go back to Costco and get them submit the offer
It happened to me too.
Do you happen to know what's the process to have Costco to submit the offer?

The representative did a "fake upgrade" (go through upgrade process until label is created but before final confirmation, then exit the process) to print out the shipping labels for me.

I'm very unsure if the labels are good to use...

The documents that the Costco guy gave you should include two pages on T-Mobile letterhead (mine was printed in color). One page tells you what plan you are on and the monthly charge for it; the other tells you the trade in value for your old phone and there is an RMA number on it. The piece of paper where shipping label is printed on has this RMA number on it as well. *I think* as long as the RMA number match, it should be fine.

Thanks for the info.

I only received a document named "T-Mobile Non-Financed Activation" form, and another named "T-Mobile Costco 2019 iPhone Activate Trade Save Promotion" with a "control number" on it which I've no idea what it is. Neither of them has plan monthly charges nor RMA numbers...

Would you mind uploading the images of the 2 documents with your information masked?
Thank you very much!

For any one here in a similar situation and for my future reference:

My understanding is with T-Mobile issued EIP credit deals, if you pay off the device you will still get the EIP credits as long as the line is still active.

So if you have a device still on an EIP (that you are getting monthly credits for from a previous promotion) that you want to trade in to take advantage of the Costco prepaid card offer can you:

- Pay off the remaining EIP balance, trade in the device

And

- continue to get the remaining EIP credits along with the prepaid card Costco rebate (since it's not technically on an EIP assuming you walk out of the store with the device)

Did this deal in store at SFO Costco today. Took about 90m to complete the paperwork. Some snags in the process included:

-I wanted a black iPhone 11 and only purple was available. They called the surrounding stores (Colma, SF) and they did not have black there either. Oh well.
-Had to fill out some paperwork, take paperwork to check-out line, which were quite long considering I was there pretty early in the morning, go to merch pickup which nobody was working for a few min, get escorted back to wireless booth.
-Had to wait in check out lines again because the salesperson didn't add applecare which I had asked them to do. Applecare is $5 less if purchased from the kiosk.

I was fine with the wait but my 5-year old was getting super bored.

Masking and upload is too much work... but the two pages I mentioned has "T-Mobile" printed on the upper left corner. The RMA number is printed on the page with title "device recovery terms". You should have got it because both these two pages need to be electronically signed and dated. ( Costco rep might have electronically signed for you without telling you anything.)

I hope this post answers some questions for people on here regarding this deal and things to know before getting in on this deal. So I purchased a iPhone 11 pro Max 64gb space gray and have a iPhone 7 that I will be trading in. So when I went on The t-Mobile website and gave my imei of the new iPhone it was telling me that the imei was not eligible. So I called T-Mobile and spoke to a lady from T-Mobile promotions she told me that I have to send in my old phone and they have to receive it before the imei on my new phone will be eligible (she said about a week or so). Another important thing I found out is according to her, you must use the new phone with the new line - it's written in fine print on the paperwork I received from the guy from Costco with my shipping label but I wanted to verify. I went to T-Mobile to get a "esim" to hopefully turn the new number into a esim so I can use my SIM card on new phone but they said they do not make a esim for numbers already on SIM cards - (my new phone from Costco had a sim already installed in it which they put the new number on).
Where does it say in fine print that "you must use the new phone with the new line"? I think once the new line is activated and active TM shouldn't care which sim goes into which phone. The Costco rep even told me to wait maybe 24 hrs before swapping sim cards. So I would suggest using the new phone with the new sim for a day or two (i.e. make calls, send texts, go online, etc.) before putting your old sim into the new phone.

I know I could exchange the phone with a bigger capacity one after I received the rebate. Is the new phone still have to stay with tmo for 40 days in order to get unlocked?
