-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

I don't mind getting monthly credits and only looking to get a higher capacity phone for under $700 and get the full credits with trade-in, instead of going through t-mobile directly and getting only a 64gb phone for $700. Anyone bought a phone to have it delivered and it cost cheaper than the website price?

T-Mobile Promotions Supervisor called back as a follow-up to our call last week. I was happy that she called back as promised, however her update wasn't helpful. She said that the issue still exists and they have no ETA on when this issue will be fixed. All she offered was that we keep trying to submit online and if the issue is not resolved in 30 days from promotion start date, they will help us submit it manually. She said they can't do manually now because they need to wait for 30 days from the promotions start date to be able to do manual overrides. I asked her if she can give me this in writing, and she said no, she can't. However she said that she will add notes on my account so they have a record of such conversation. I told her my concern that what if the notes aren't helpful much when it comes to taking care of this rebate manually, who knows where she will be at that time and which rep will be looking at the notes etc. etc. She said, I can go to a T-mobile store and the associates there can show the notes to me. I can call back if the notes don't make sense.
Anyways, I guess its up to an individual to take it forward from here on. If you feel comfortable with the notes etc. that this rep said, you can wait for 30 days else go head and return phone / cancel line. Be aware, if you participated in previous $580 rebate deal and if you cancel this new line due to this new rebate issue, they may get an excuse to deny the previous $580 rebate due to line being cancelled. I know I know this shouldn't happen, but then we all know how rebate processing works and how a minor excuse can be used to deny a rebate. So there's that.
Not saying you are about to commit fraud, just that they shouldn't do this to avoid fraud.

Want to buy now (new number) and give to her for Christmas. We would then port her number over after Christmas?

And, unless you are about to get a mortgage or something, why worry about taking a few points hit on our FICO?

I did ask her about what happens if i send in my trade and in and i wont receive my rebate due to incomplete submission of rebate. She said it a known issue and that should not affect the rebate.
As other users said, it goes individual to individual here of who can followup and has the time to go through.
