Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Just looking at your situation as an outsider and I can clearly tell you that you felt reassuring because your mind doesn't want to get into hassle of returning 4 phones and canceling these 4 lines. There is nothing that the rep did that can help you with rebates, it's just same blah blah blah update. Again, it's up to you what to do next.
Fair point. I'm not deluding myself. It boils down to your level of trust and risk tolerance. I might do as your rep suggested, go down to a Tmo store and confirm the notes on my account. Have you done that yet?

What if you send in your trade-in phone (7 or whatever) and they still reject it as eligible. Are they going to send that trade-in phone back to you or eat it and say "sayonara" (or "OK boomer" or whatever snarky thing they say as of today)?

I haven't done that yet, still thinking what to do. I think I am kinda stuck in this. May be, we all should form a team and make a collective decision to either return/cancel or move forward and then be prepared to fight for the rebate lol. This is messed up.

I don't think they will send your trade in back, nope. I think they'll just say 'sayonara' laugh out loud

Please help somebody.

We took total 2 lines with 2 phones..
Now we need to cancel one line ..
Will it impact rebate for the other line?

Also will costco accept return of that phone without any issue. We opened the box to test the phone but never actually used it.. so any issues in return opened box?

You know what? No one here can tell you what the rebate guy would be thinking when reviewing your submission. You definitely are getting into the gray area though by cancelling the line.

It is absolutely included. Get an iPhone 6s ASAP and trade in for $700 rebate. Highly likely, your local Costco will not have the iPhone model you are looking for. Just ask the rep to order it online.

Your out of pocket cost is 2 months of service on that second line. For that you get the additional phone and don't risk your rebate.
