Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

A question about porting.. I opened a new Magenta plan for my family and got assigned new numbers. The phone I got is not opened yet and the rep told me that I can do it at home. Now that am back home, my wife would like to keep her old number. My question is, since the phone is not yet opened, is there a way to make this port happen while activating the phone? Or is my only option to activate the phone with the newly assigned number and then later call customer service to get the number changed? Any advice?
Once Costco guy feed new phone number and IMEI number in TMobile system, it is activated. You can open and start calling right away. Even u kept in box without using , it is already activated. I bought phone with Cisco assigned number and then ported to my desired number next day , it won't affect the rebate. I checked with TMobile rep

I don't see why you can't port in your other number if these are new lines you're getting. You'll need that old phone number, the account number for that old phone number's carrier, and perhaps the pin number of that account if the account holder is not you.
Thank you for the info, appreciate the help.

You still got the rebate even though the phone sim isn't with the new iPhone? So you can use your main number on the new iPhone and still quality for the rebates? I did the last promotion but haven't switch sim yet to the new iphone

Finally got through on the phone to the local store and the guy said there were 40 people in line this morning for the deal. I guess they had enough phones to get them to 4pm, but then sold out. Supposedly more coming for Friday, but with only 1 of 3 local stores carrying T-Mobile I doubt it will be worth the lines at this point. Let's hope Tmo has a similar deal or this one extends well into December.

That's what a lot of people here are doing. Make sure it's not broken, chipped or in non-working condition. And you'll have to get rid of "Find My Phone" and its iCloud thing.
Would it be alright if the metal housing on the sides are scuffed up? Scummy boost gave me some ones where the 4 corners are scuffed up but the screen and back is pretty decent

yes, people have switched right away in the past and gotten their rebate.

Tmobile has an offer - which is 4th line free if you are on Magenta. So it will be 140$/month for 4 lines assuming you will set up autopay.
Thanks for responding.
My friend started an account. He added two lines with a plan that is $60/line. Not sure of the name of the plan. I would like to add two more lines to that account. Can we change the plan to Magenta now? so that 4th line will be free?

I guess so. For upgrading there won't be issue. While adding ur lines to ur friend's line , take him along with you so the Authorised a/c holder present. For me Costco rep refused to add into my friend line without physical person present.

I honestly don't have much experience trading in old phones but you might be alright. I would think they're more interested in securing your business as a paying customer for the next two years more than a crappy old phone they're going to sell wholesale to some warehouse in NJ who'll peddle it back on eBay to the next guy who'll take it in for the next trade-in deal and so on and so on.

General question on trading in a boost iphone 7 purchased thru in-store offer. in-store promotion [boostmobile.com]
How are people confident that the phone bought from above will be considered as paid-off phone and is eligible for trade-in? I know the in-store offer is for a prepaid plan. If you try to unlock it, it wouldn't work. Technically its not a paid-off phone. isn't it?
