-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Experience in chicagoland:
- almost no stores had iphone 11 except north avenue and south loop. Both only had 64gb models, and south loop ran out soon after I got mine.
- restock occurs ~11-1 pm so call ahead to see if they have it
- I had simple choice but she couldn't change my plan to magenta at kiosk so she had me call Tmobile to change prior to going through the trade-in
- Trade in phone wasn't required in person, only IMEI
- After the deal, i asked about getting a free line for adding one and she said it was only for new customers
- Got "Accepted offer" of $29 for iphone 6s 16 GB as a bill credit, rest to be as a rebate. Total credit will be $500
- said I would need to fix the cracked screen prior to sending (I told her about it but didn't show her)
- whole ordeal took 2.5 hours since costco and tmobile phone reps were so busy!
questions:
- Am I correct that buy one line, get one line free is also for existing customers? Some ads say nothing, others say new customers only. If so, can I call t-mobile later and get that line added since never offered to me at the kiosk?
- if I have no need for another phone line, are there any costs to getting it just because? Can I use it for something else like a tablet (or other benefits i'm not seeing)?

As far as stock goes, it varies among areas. I was told it is usually the first thing when they open, or towards closing IF they receive new stocks. I had to call about 10 stores to locate what I wanted. Some stores would not even pick up the call as they were so busy, which I understand. Some even offer to hold 64 for me for a few hrs, though I wanted 128s. It does take some/lots effort, but I am glad I did, and read thru as many pages here as I could.
The FREE line from what I was told was if you have/had 3 lines already, the 4th line would be free. I was going to get 4 lines/phones anyway as a new client.
Such was what I learned from this deal. If incorrect on the free line, it was unintentional
