Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

User koths said they are doing the 2 year finance only. That means retail pricing. You don't get a discount when doing it that way.

Who knows but it's more like 10 to ship rather than 10 in stock.

If you have a grandfathered plan, I'd keep it cuz it probably holds better value in the long run. Better to have someone other than primary account holder (with decent credit) open a new Essentials or Magenta line to apply for this offer.

For me,
Family stayed on Simple Choice (I am not the primary).
I opened a new account with Magenta and will be submitting my iPhone 7 for my rebate.
Thank you so much. What you said makes perfect sense. Did you just upgrade your phone and not your whole family's?

Just upgrading my phone. Notice that the terms don't mention porting in a new phone number, so I opened a Magenta account with one new line, new number. After activation, I messaged T-mobile to move my old Family (simple choice) SIM into the eSIM of the new iPhone 11. Now using eSIM for phone call and text messages, Magenta physical SIM for cellular Data only (Since it's unlimited). iMessages work fine (took about ~5minutes to register with Apple's servers correctly). Plan to cancel Magenta account once rebate is received.

eSIM process

Boost is prepaid. If you don't want to keep the number, just don't pay the next bill. It will die.

If you want to keep the number, port it in or find somewhere to port in to park it.
