Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Thanks for your response.

When I start the phone, it shows Hello screen. I'm able to select language, choose location, and connect to a Wi-Fi network; however, once I select Set up manually, the phone shows "It may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone", and after a while shows "Unable to Activate - .. activation server is temporarily unavailable...".

I tried activating via iTunes as well, as well as update / restore, both with and without T-Mobile SIM, but with no success. I'm coming back to iPhone after years and don't understand if I'm doing something wrong, or could it simply be that I need SIM of a particular carrier. Since I was able to erase the phone, and it doesn't ask for a pass code, I believe there's no activation lock.

The phone was showing normal screens (I didn't put a SIM card) before I followed instructions on t-mobile website to erase all content and settings. Also, the phone didn't have any icloud account logged in. The phone was bought as unlocked from Walmart.com and ting.com shows the phone is unlocked.
You tried activating it with a T-Mobile sim card inside, and without the sim card. But is the iPhone a T-Mobile phone or is it unlocked version? If it is another carrier you probably need a sim card from that carrier to be able to activate it.

The phone is unlocked, and I am unable to activate it with my older (2017) t-mobile sim that was earlier in a Samsung phone.

How long does the trade-in phone take to reach them? The tracking says it should arrive on Monday but it's Saturday and it still shows tracking status as accepted and nothing else. Is this normal?

I guess I am too late to read the wiki ! I am sorry .

Accepted offer value is showing 0 for one my trade in phone. Do I need to go back to the store to have it corrected ? or will it be fine to send the phone like this ?

Is the trade in phone tied to a line I purchased from the store ?

If you are talking about the old phone - no need to activate it.
Send it in.

Hello,
I'm looking for a little help. I did manage to pick up an Iphone 11 the other day, but my daughter is thinking she wants a different color. I haven't sent in the trade in yet (Iphone 7). If I am able to find the right color, and I swap out the phone at another local Costco, will I remain eligible for the rebate/prepaid credit card?

You'll be fine. People here have gone back to change IMEIs and gotten their credit. I did it myself for the $580 deal.
So they would still honor Dec 4th promo instead of the one on dec 6th? The new shipping label has Offer Date of Dec 6th.

I did it within the date of the promotion, so I can't promise with 100% certainty, but I think you could definitely call up T-Mobile and argue if you don't get the virtual card.

If the accepted offer is showing 0, that means you are ineligible for the the rebate. There has to be some value. If the device powers on/off, if the LCD has no cracks, no missing pixels, if the phone has no water damage, if the phone has your "find my iphone" disabled, then it should be eligible. The fact that the accepted offer shows 0 is probably because the costco rep incorrectly answered the above questions which led to the system giving you a zero value. I would go back to the store and have him go through the trade in value process again closely make sure the phone make and model are correctly chosen and the questions are correctly answered. There upon, you should receive a trade in value and the rep can issue you a new shipping label.

If you ship with 0 offer value, you will not get the gift card nor will you get your trade in phone back. There has to be some offer value greater than 0 to be eligible for this promo. Hope this helps.

I purchased an iphone 11 on December 5th with iphone 7 - 700$ rebate but i was not able to add the line to my account due to some t-mobile system issue. If we add the line now (costco rep is holding the phone and i have the receipt with Dec 5th purchase date), will i still be eligible for 700$ rebate or will i get just the 500$ rebate?
Check with costco or t-mobile. When you submit the rebate request, you need a photo of a receipt within the eligible period (your receipt shows that), and a photo of the iphone box showing IMEI.

Definitely, the rebate processing folks will check the receipt to make sure that you bought it between Nov 22-Dec 5. They also need to check whether the line is active. Not so sure about whether they will check when the line was added (in your case, its after Dec 5), whether this IMEI is still active on the line that the rebate submitted for. This is the fuzzy area.
