Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

It does not matter. In my case, my used boost phone has a screen protector, I kept it. I also repurposed boost mobile package to send the trade in back.
left my protector on as well even though the protector had a slight crack but NO crack on actual screen then bubbled wrapped

also, took pics + quick vid of phone just in case

FYI - rep said many people often forget to sign out of icloud/find my phone so make sure to sign out + you should also receive email confirming phone is no longer on find my phone

i am on same boat.
I took iphone 7 from my friend to get this offer. He removed icloud settings and gave me so i checked all settings and tried "Reset all". It showed some message saying about upgrade but i didnt checked and pressed OK. After reset, it is struck at activation screen and says "An update is required to activate your iphone"
I went to Apple store and they say its a known issue in iphone 7 and they will send it apple support to fix the issue and revert back in 3 weeks. I didnt accepted and came back.

Let me know what you are doing so i can also try same.

have you tried putting in DFU mode and installing software update via iTunes?

hard reset (on 7, hold home button + sound up until white apple) while connected to computer then a screen should pop up on itunes asking you to reset/restore/update

I bought a iPhone 11 Pro at Costco with trade-in iPhone 7. The wireless rep mistyped the phone model as iPhone 7 Plus. I went back and asked him to correct. but, he said I can't do that. He said they will just see the IMEI number once they receive the trade-in phone. Does anyone face the similar issue?

Btw mr Chaoss.. One actual question:
Do you know if i can give iphone to apple for apple gift card even if iphone is not fully paid off or active on somebody account?
If you remember i told ya that i have been scammed by somebody locally and i dont have any idea how to make sure if its paid off or not..because when i goto att unlock portal then it says its active on another account.
Tia.
Worth a try at apple. I know they scan the imei/serial number but I am not sure if they search some sort of database to see if it's under a payment plan or not.

I purchased the iPhone 7 from Boost (Preowned) and when I check the IMEI number on ting.com it says that "Sorry, this phone can't be activated right now. This device has not reached financial eligibility." I know this has been discussed somewhere in this thread but can someone tell if they send the phone in and still got the credit? I contacted Boost and they had no idea. Thank you so much for your time and help.

I did the $580 promo last month. 1 of my trade ins was the same as yours with that message.

I have received all my rebate cards and cashed out already.

YMMV but chances are highly good.

Thanks. Ting.com said that this phone is linked to Sprint. I contacted Sprint and they said Boost shouldn't be selling devices that are linked to any financial responsibility.

The financial eligibility is just sprints internal way of controlling where their phones can be used within the sprint network.
