Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Contacting tmobile via direct message through twitter is excellent. They generally answer within about half an hour, and they can solve almost any issues you are having. I'd go that route first.
Could you advice how I can contact the twitter tmobile team. I logged on twitter and send instant message to Tforce, and receive no response. How could you manage to reach them for unlock? by the way, looks like there are TForce and Tmobile help via twitter, which one should I go for?

They usually respond you in an hour or so. Don't think that they will respond you right away,

Just to confirm, the latest deal does not give you full price for 6s or 7 even.. so this deal from a few weeks ago was still best.

The 8 is very expensive. I see you can get a 7 at BoostMobile for $130 right now, Maybe even less if you buy it in store. The 8 is starting out at around $265. Are you sure.

For those waiting for their trade-in credits to post, hang in there. I have had very good luck dealing with their CS on Twitter. Just DM to @TMobileHelp. The rep who responded to me verified my identity, and has been following up with me every few days, rather than just talking to a random rep each time.

He told me they are experiencing heavy volume so trade-in processing can take a while. Here's my timeline:
  • Purchase date 11/22
  • Ran into IMEI issue, waited for resolution
  • IMEI issue fixed 11/27
  • Submitted rebate 11/27
  • Mailed in 4 phones to Assurant 11/27
  • USPS tracking shows phones received 11/30
  • 1 phone trade-in posted 12/11, received email notification
  • Rep followed up on 12/16, saying 2 more would post on 12/16, last one on 12/17
  • 2 finally posted on 12/18, no email notification
  • Still waiting on last trade-in
  • Rep scheduled follow up on 12/20.
FWIW.
Quick update, I received my 4th and last trade-in rebate today 12/19. In summary:
  • Mailed in 4 phones to Assurant 11/27
  • USPS tracking shows phones received 11/30
  • Trade-in credits posted on 12/11, 12/18, 12/18, and 12/19.
Now we wait for the virtual prepaid card.

I grabbed couple of 8 verizon locked on swappa, fair condition, $185 average per phone. Now waiting for the deal to either extend or come back later.

Is fair condition good enough for these trade-in deals? What is the standard exactly? Can it have scratches and dings?

As long as the costco rep enters $1 and above for the trade-in value, you are good. Anything but $0 valuation works for the deal.
