Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Even after accepting still denied that's weird. This is my First time doing rebate with Tmobile and such a hassle.
Agreed! This particular rebate is such a hassle. I am not sure what is the next step. I went through this thread and some people said that after denial they got the rebate after one day so not sure if the rebate would come later today or tomorrow

For those of you who already got your rebate, did you cancel the service when the rebate is received, or after you see the money transferred to your bank account?

I got the rebate today, and the billing end date is tomorrow. I have scheduled the withdraw but don't know if I can cancel it now, or I should wait until the transfer is completed? I am hoping I can save one month of monthly fee.

Thanks for sharing... REPPED.

That's sad and It's a shame for them. Have you ever (after sending the phone) got the one time bill credit for the device? At least manually adjusted thru chat or phone by the CSR? In that case I heard they can manually override the rebate and get it approved.

I would personally don't take the bill credit, it's not worth being with them for 2 years.
i called on 12/26, rep on phone told she will submit handset research form, if still they did not find, they will adjust the credit. So my follow up call is on 1/7, waiting for that.

Bill credit was suggested by tforce on twitter, i agree, i don't like bill credits, so went with the Costco deal.

I would rather wait for the bank transfer to complete, Submit Unlock request, get the phone unlocked (if you care), and then cancel. Anytime you cancel, the rates are always prorated.

Are you sure? I thought the last month bill is NOT prorated?

I already have my phone unlocked (via FB T-Force chat), so this is the last step before I close down the account.

Good luck. Hope the research team find your phones. Did you got this reason for denial "Ineligible trade-In"?

If you close the whole account, it'll be prorated. But if I were you, I would close the account today so I don't have to pay extra for another day. Don't worry about the rebate, Tmobile won't take it back/or chargeback

R u sure about proration? I don't have experience with T-Mobile....but att didn't prorate...don't understand y they don't prorate since it's postpaid...they were rude on top of that ...after being 12 years with them....anyways not going back to them regardless of how T-Mobile is

I was denied (for same reason as you) and called the promotions number and they told me that the phone number was entered incorrectly for one of my phones (I bought two and the other is fine). It went in as my main line number rather than the number of the new line associated with that phone. My main number is the line I said I wanted my virtual card texted to. I believe based on what I have read elsewhere that this there is an issue with their system mixing these two numbers up. Anyway, I was told that even though the submission has been denied it is for some reason still processing on their end, and that I have to wait until it "errors out" at which time they can do a manual fix and I'll get the payment pretty quickly, but they can't do anything now. I have a follow-up scheduled with them for early next week. I looked back on this thread and I don't believe anyone's status went from "Denied" to approved without them first calling and having T-Mobile do something on their end first.

I argued with her over the rebate amount (Full 700) and she told me that I would get only upto the amount I paid for the device which is $680 in my case. I told her about a few people that reported getting the full 700 amount even when they bought a $630 device and she said that is not possible. She even talked to a manager to confirm. They both told the same thing that the rebate is 'Upto' $700 and not full $700. I kinda agree with them because that's what is mentioned on this thread's wiki page as well. It makes common sense but then how come some people got the full $700 and $20 is still a big amount for me personally given the financial crisis I am going through currently.
whyyyyyyyyy why would you even bring this up?! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Some people are getting more than they should. Instead of demanding you get the same, just be happy with the original deal.

My bill credits were approved on 12/28.

Still just shows as "received" on the rebate status page.

How long should it take from the time the bill credits are issued for the refund to be approved and issued?

hi all - i can't believe i did this, but 1 out of 4 phones i sent in - it turns out, it was an iphone 6 and not a 6s. Basic mistake. T-mob gave me a $9 credit. and when i called them the rep said that the comments said 'wrong model'. that's when i double-checked the IMEI.

Anyway - so the question for all of you is - anyway to salvage the situation on this 4th phone? or did I mess it up for good?
