-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

sent device on 12/3 received on 12/5
rebate credited 12/7
still waiting for approval.
The worst thing is I did the $580 rebate and use that line to receive this $700 rebate, I don't know is it safe to cancel that line which already got the $580 rebate.
This is what I've been told by multiple reps. My rebate status also changed to denied with same reason i.e. ineligible trade in found.
My followup call with a supervisor is scheduled for 01/06.
- Install the Venmo app on two different phone numbers, do the verification, activation, blah blah
(you can create your account on a PC but can't do payments and transfers on PCs anymore, only on phones through the app)
- On account 1 go to Settings/Payment Methods and add the credit card number
- On account 1 press the pencil and paper (upper right) to initial a payment
- It'll ask for who to send to, and what amount. Use your contacts to find your other phone number (associated with your Venmo account number 2). Specify the amount. It should show the source of the funds as your virtual credit card. Press submit.
- You should see it right away in your account number 2's
- In account number two, go to Settings/Payment Methods and add your bank account
- Transfer the venmo funds into that bank account: Go to Settings, find "Transfer Money" (upper right), click on it. Below it you'll see two buttons: Instant (1% fee) and 1-3 Biz days (No fee). If you want free, pick the second button. Below those you should see "Transfer to: (followed by your bank account)". Press Transfer $xx.00 to complete the transfer.

I argued with her over the rebate amount (Full 700) and she told me that I would get only upto the amount I paid for the device which is $680 in my case. I told her about a few people that reported getting the full 700 amount even when they bought a $630 device and she said that is not possible. She even talked to a manager to confirm. They both told the same thing that the rebate is 'Upto' $700 and not full $700. I kinda agree with them because that's what is mentioned on this thread's wiki page as well. It makes common sense but then how come some people got the full $700 and $20 is still a big amount for me personally given the financial crisis I am going through currently.
Can someone who got their rebates this time or on previous promotions, please give me some pointers as to what is the right amount that we should expect? I am all for taking the fight with tmobile if we are entitled to full $700 but if it is only a handful of people getting more money in error then I'd just consider the rebate as YMMV and may be I am not that lucky I guess
Curious, did the "financial crisis" arrived prior or after you spend $700 on a new phone? Doing rebates always involve certain type of risks, not to mention $700 worth of risk.
I paid $679, and was glad to read/see many here got $700 for spending $629/679. But I would be very happy with $679, the $21 is not going to make my bank/wallet, just saying
I think we should plan to complain on T-Mobile twitter until something gets done about this. I hate wasting time just calling to get nothing resolved.
I had better result with FB chat
- If I exchange it in Costco, will that be a locked T-mobile phone? and I need to wait for another 40 days?
- If Costco reps notice that this phone is used for this rebate, will they deny my exchange? Will they take my money back?
Please share your experience if you have done it! Thank you very much!
Most get the rebate around 30-31 day mark from rebate submission. Not sure why others are taking a little longer, perhaps with the IMEI not recognized debacle.
