Hey,
HP has the Omen 17 ready-to-ship on for sale for $1,199.99. This is the lowest price I've seen for this laptop. You also get a free shirt
see:
https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/om...7-cb0092nr
Add any apparel item to your cart and it'll show up as $0. I.e see here:
https://store.hp.com/us/en/cv/ome...ng-apparel
The main advantage/reason you would choose this over the competition is for a screen with better color reproduction and (possibly) better temperatures. At least according to
this review [notebookcheck.net]of a model in the same series

You're suggesting there is an inherent risk. Care to elaborate?

Costco online
I ordered the msi ge75 raider with a 2070 for $1499. Part of what sold me was this review: https://www.techspot.co
The thermals seem exceptional on this model and the screen well above average. Also the ge75 won several awards this year.
Looking closer, the omen is 0.3 inches thinner but about 1lb heavier. The hp has a thunderbolt port whereas the msi does not (it has a usb c port though).
I got my laptop last night and i was certainly wowed by the screen. I downloaded some games on steam but haven't had a chance to play them yet (2 little kids 😂)
You will likely be happy with either.
If you order the Costco one you can always return with no fee if a better deal comes up whereas you cannot do so with this hp. I bought the walmart deal and will return it if i find a much better deal next weekend.

Thank you, and i think the costco deal have a better warranty. That's the main concern i think. Witch has a better temp.
What kind of indecisive person returns an unopened box worth more than $1000?
Edit: my bad, it does have G-Sync
