This is a good deal, for some pretty fantastic headphones, but the Sony WH-1000XM3 regularly falls to ~$250, so if you have to chose, then go for the Sony

It's actually only a $30 discount. Prime members get 5% off every day.

More like Bose went above and beyond to definitively one-up Sony somewhere, and call quality it was. I think the Bose has a total of eight mics? Not 100% sure, but if phone calls are your main priority, then the Bose is the one for you. Kinda fits with Bose's more business professional-targeting, really

The Sony's are unusable if you live in cold climates due to phantom touches being registered. Depending on where you live, you can't use these for a few months.

Yes this seems to be an awesome deal and infact I wanted to post this when I saw this during my train commute. Due to bad signal I couldn't.

I seriously don't understand as to why none of the Bose 700 related posts are getting thumbs up. Seriously something is really fishy.

Amazon Prime is the authorized seller of Bose and it will be covered under warranty unlike some eBay stuff.

yeah, don't get it either. lots of posts from rakuten sellers get tons of traffic and it's always iffy shipping, iffy returns and warranty.

I've heard that the QC II are better than these? I considered Sony too but I heard the band rips/breaks really quick.

I have both the QC II and these 700s. The 700 has audio passthrough functionality and uses a completely different bose app. Took me awhile to finally figure out that it uses a different app. It's not worth the upgrade if you have the QC II or even the I unless you really want the audio passthrough but it's not that convenient to use. the case is also bigger since the 700 does not fold.

But since this has 8 mics which is crucial in making phone calls, I'd go for this!!

i think the way to think about it is: not all deals are made for you. different people are different.
