DEWALT DWS 780 15 Amp 12 in. Double Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw $349 + Free Shipping

DWS780 is on sale now for $349 + Free Shipping. from Home Depot.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../202922350

It seems Amazon Price Matched (Thank senkris)(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 ) Plus you could get $25 off and Discover 5% discount.
Amazon stock availability keeps changing. OOS for a while and back in stock then OOS again. You might want to keep checking.

I was checking the previous frontpage deal, but did not buy it because someone told the modification on DWS779 might void warranty.(https://slickdeals.net/f/13562242-dewalt-15-amp-12-in-double-bevel-sliding-compound-miter-saw-dws779-rolling-stand-dwx726-for-399?page=10#commentsBox)

Now Home Depot has a special buy for DWS780 with $349 price, so I combined with Ridgid Miter Saw Stand (https://slickdeals.net/f/13641289-ridgid-universal-mobile-miter-saw-stand-with-mounting-braces-99-free-shipping?src=frontpage)

Cheaper (considering modification cost) and no worry for warranty.

I think the amazon deal now is slightly better since an additional 25$ is offered on top of price matched listing

I bought this saw from Amazon for $325 and the Rigid stand from Depot $99. For $25 more than the Frontpage deal but have a way better saw and stand.

Discover Card gives 5% back on Amazon. So you bring down to 309 right?

As much attention as the other combo typically gets, I'm surprised this deal isn't getting more love. (Amazon w/ coupon + Home Depot stand)

I love this saw. Now, my only gripe is unlike the Bosch Glide, you need a lot of depth. But that's really about it. I've been using it with Diablo 60T combination blade and cuts very smooth with all types of wood including ply's. This seems to be the price but if Lowe's sell them at the same price and you have a 10% coupon even better. That's how I got mine down close to $300. Bosch doesn't seem to ever go on sale though.

That's a fixed (non-sliding) saw with a non-rolling more compact stand.

For large saws like these I would get a stand with wheels.

Blah. Went with the 779 with modification this summer. Was a big pain. Needed like 4 different torx driver sizes and long ones in some cases. Also it only sort of works since it seems to short out occasionally. But it's such a pain to get in the handle I don't want to try and find the issue. So in short...get the 780 if you can.

This is not a sliding miter saw and I'm not confident this model has the shadow laser system either.

How does this compare to the hitachi C10FSHC that's 70 less? Aside from the obvious 10 vs 12, the zero clearance seems nice.
