I'm not a PC gamer, but my 8 year old insists he wants to be one. The reviews are solid and best of all it's sold by Amazon and I was able to knock another $50 off and maximize the Amex promo. Any monitor recommendations to start?

what surprises me is the laptops aren't much higher than the desktops

lot of the stats are good, especially the gpu but 8 gigs of ram is pushing.

Just be careful with these systems... if you are going to buy one I HIGHLY suggest buying it at bestbuy and getting the best buy replacement plan. Otherwise you are very likely to have to deal with paying shipping on an RMA anytime there is an issue with your hardware, which is extremely likely to happen on these cyberpowerPC. It's not that they even use shit parts, all my parts in my gf's computer are brand name like corsair, its that they make so many of these systems and buy so many parts in bulk they don't take much care when they build/pack/ship it and things end up messed up. Most of these systems are cheaper than putting together the parts yourself, but be prepared to deal with cyberpowerPC support on a bi-yearly basis at a minimum.
