This headset has 3.2 rating on amazon with almost 30% of people giving it 1 star rating, we don't have to buy everything just because its a few bucks off
The build quality is terrible on these. I'm a guy in my 40's with grown kids NOT at home, who takes care of his stuff. I bought one 2 years ago. Over the course of the 1 year warranty, they had to send me 4 replacements. The mic went out on 2 sets, and the speakers went out on the other 2. More trouble than they were worth.
I've had experience with this headset and so have a few friends. The Mic seems to die on these guys quite often. Not sure if this has been fixed, but we went through about 4 of these headsets with the same issue within a short period of time.

If this includes the adapter (looks like) then it's a good deal. Get a headset stand and you're golden. The sound quality out this was better than expected imho. Deciding if I want a second one for my other controller.

Are there really that many first gen (no 3.5mm jack) controllers floating around out there, anyway?

BUT
I do not know if this will be compatible to Xbox Scarlett or next gen Xbox.

Microsoft won't backtrack and remove 3.5 jack on next gen.

The adapter might not but the set itself likely would. Can't 100% be sure but it would have to be radically different.
The adapter is useless for likely 99% of people.
It's easier to control on the fly with the adapter.
