Likewise, I think it's a little naive to say that Ryobi has the "best" in the market when comparing performance specifications. Ryobi is known for being a budget oriented brand more than anything else. "Best bang for your buck" more aptly applies to Ryobi in my honest opinion.

It's not a bad deal for Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) on the batteries (and the tools obviously), but if you are ever going to push either tool to the limits in any way, the brushed drivers in both of these are going to leave a little more to be desired compared to the brushless options. I'm not a contractor but I think Ridgid's brushless models will last a lifetime for your average diy homeowner and will give more consistent performance over anything brushed

The p290? It is good but not the best. Certainly beat bang for your buck but not the best lb for lb. Ridgid does have a fantastic impact that retails for more than the p290. Also, worth mentioning these are not brushless tools. Imo non brushless ryobi is not worth it unless you use your tools seldom, or lightly. the same is true for ridgid. Milwaukee or Dewalt brushed handles more business.

HD is great with the life time warranty on batteries and the tools do have decent power , well built and balanced.
From my experience I believe this would hold up well for most users
