EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Escrow isn't mandatory, but at most lenders waiving escrow will reduce the lender credit offered for any given rate. Owning.com was one lender where the rate didn't change based on me choosing to waive escrow - however you can probably still do better than their 2.99% 30 year rate at the moment.

Careful when comparing fidelity and make sure you add all fees during the application process (else they will exclude things like endorsement).

Geez lame I don't mind just using radian saves a couple hundred and I know they have a relationship with better and have been around a long time.

Asking for a relative.

purchasing home in VA. looking for 30 yr fixed. Loan value ~$750,000. Anyone got a decent rate on that size of a loan? they are getting 2.99% 0 points but $1195 underwriting fee and other fluff added in title services. No credits either.

Radian should be cheaper or equal.

Would I be eligible if I applied for the card after I closed on the refinance? Has anyone tried and received the credit this way?

Another successful refi process going on with Better here. Played off LenderFi against them to get a good deal plus the $2500 AMEX. No point in really sharing many details though as I'm under $200k remaining on my loan so can't quite limbo as much as many of you but still very happy.

With different lenders taking different times to close the refinance, can I lock and start the refinance process with two lenders and close it with the one that moves faster?

Would i still be eligible for the statement credit if I apply and receive the amex card after I closed on the refinance? Has anyone received the credit this way?
