Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

When can you lock your rate?
Locking your rate is the first step to starting the loan process. You can lock your rate once you've given us some basic information about your property, income, and authorized a hard credit pull. If you're buying a home, you'll also need a signed purchase contract for your new property.
This is NOT accurate based on what is written and published in the rules of the offer. You need to APPLY by the 25th and if the Better guys are saying "LOCK" they are incorrect and are forcing you to do something that is not needed.
Apply by 7/25 (Today) and close the loan by 10/28 to get the credit is what it says.

Are there any DPs on credits more than 5k?
Are there any DPs on credits more than 5k?
Just to clarify that Better can make up and change the rules but like I said and what a lot of others have said that based on whats out there its apply by today and actually if you look at the dates it kinda makes sense:
7/25 apply so 30 day application will take you all the way up to 8/25.
8/25 to 10/28 would then be about the length of the 60 day rate lock.

People do not read - even the past day's worth of posts.
If this stuff is do important to you, why not read a little?
And the big question: How many post a question and do not come back later to see the answer? I am guessing many, since they would have to scan through another 30 posts to find it.
Thanks for any additional insight as what you noted above sounds like a complete nightmare.
b) your loan servicing alone could change hands
c) your loan and loan servicing could change hands.
All these are not necessarily because of a refi and you have no control over when or who it will change to. It all depends on the current investor deciding to sell or change the servicing company.
TMS is a servicer but in some case also holds the loan as well most times temporarily when you refi through better.com and sometime for longer. In most cases a servicor change is the only one that affects the end users like us. Who holds the loan is very little consequence to you and me. When servicors change outside of a refi - that is when the scenario I mentioned will be a messy for the borrowers like us.
We're reviewing your application and will be in touch soon about what to do next.
Due to current market conditions and high volume, a Loan Officer will be in touch with you within the next few days.
Thank you for choosing Loan Cabin Inc. We're proud to be part of your journey to home ownership."
Didn't get another email until 7/24 asking for more details for my desired loan length, value of home etc - I responded Friday at noon and still no word back at 36 hours later from Robert/ bob at loan cabin .com. and no LE yet.
