This is a five year old processor. Yes, I get that its a server, and not a desktop, but there's a deal with a far newer processor for just $50 more on this very website

Edit: Found It - https://slickdeals.net/f/13703825-dell-poweredge-t40-tower-server-xeon-e-2224g-8gb-1tb-hdd-dvdrw-no-os-349-free-s-h

I was comparing the two processors: E3-1225v5 (T30) and E-2224G (T40)

Introduced Q4'15 vs Q2'19 (3.5 years newer)
Both are 4 cores, 4 threads.
3.30GHz vs 3.50 GHz (about the same)
DDR4-2133 vs DDR4-2666 memory
P530 vs P630 graphics

If you are running ESXi, I don't think you would be able to tell much difference.

To get Windows 7 Pro on these I had to do install from CD and use PS2 devices to install the Intel drivers for the network. If you plug something (ANYTHING for me) into the USB ports the OS becomes very unstable and installs dont work.
