Can anyone who has had time with this assuming I don't get a lemon I need something that will seamlessly have 6-7 chrome tabs open, two Mozilla tabs, a music player like musicbee and play magic arena at the same time on an IPS screen for a year until next black Friday. Will this be capable? The ram is throttled to only 6 usable for non gpu and the 3500u is not running at full potential according to some so I am very concerned and thinking about keeping my 14 inch Lenovo Flex 14 for $150 more.

Bought this earlier at $350 and rebought last night cheaper, it is an excellent machine for the price. The QC is definitely suspect as has been mentioned here and in the reviews, random black screen freezing the computer forcing a restart is real on some units, my first one being one of them. Was about to return for a new one too...With many seemingly operating fine per other users, just have to hope you dont get a lemon. Walmart return policy makes it an easy trial tho

Who actually has this laptop in person? Does it feel cheap? Is it snappy? mine says it's gonna take a week for the free delivery don't know why so long I have a Lenovo flex 14 with an i5 and fingerprint scanner I got for $450 I don't know if the Lenovo name and the NVME and actual 8 gigs of usable ram is worth the extra $150 over this. Only used for work but multiple chrome and Firefox tabs open and some light gaming like magic arena and movie/music downloads.
You won't notice the difference between i5 and R5.
It'll be snappy.
Likewise, you won't get a touchscreen (vs. the Flex 14 if it had one).

I got the HP from Costco that's has the i5 in it for my son. Outside of the memory and storage would this Motile be better graphics and speed wise for say Fortnite? I assume this is lighter as well

I purchased @ 350. Came with what looks like a children's backpack, mouse and a USB travel battery. Very compact and slick looking device but has a somewhat cheap feel. The performance is outstanding and easily my favorite laptop so far. At this price, Will be purchasing another for my wife. I'd recommend a bag or sleeve since it feels a little flimsy.

I got Walmart HP14 i3 (came with i5) a little too heavy for my use-case, thinking of doing this one. Ubuntu installs/dual boots great.

Anyone install Ubuntu/Linux on this? That's my dealbreaker

Didn't need one, bought one. Price is too good.

Most of the bad reviews are from BIOS or software bugs that could easily be remedied within a month from now. The hardware seems sound and the Ryzen CPU/APU is great. The price may not be this low for long, and I kicked myself for not getting the Overpowered laptop last year.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the HDMI out can support 2k or 4k? I think it needs to be an HDMI 2.0 port, but I can't find that information online. Thanks!
I confirmed the 4K 60hz 4:4:4 output to my LG 24ud58 monitor via the HDMI port so HDMI on this is 2.0. The usb c port is sadly only data transfer, with no power delivery charge or Displayport function, as has been noted by others.

Q: Does the R5 come with 1x 256gb SATA, or 2x 128gb SATA?

I ask because a walmart.com review says it' s a single drive while your pics have the 2x128s. Wouldn't put it past you to swap some around your handful of these though... laugh out loud
There are two slots for M2 ssd. One is occupied by an M2 sata. The other one is open.

This one or the one walmart has for $309?

Lenovo Ideapad 330s 15.6" Laptop, Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Quad-Core Processor, 8GB Memory, 256GB Storage, Platinum Grey - 81FB00HKUS

The lenovo is cheaper and also have dual channel memory set up so your vega graphic will run a lot faster but significantly heavier. some people like 15 inch and more space. other like the smaller 14 inch more portable format.

Piece of cake, just remove the 6 philips screws on the bottom plate. and you will have easy access.

Yes, two stages of backlit intensity

Can someone explain why people are jumping on this? The reviews are pretty bad
The price is cheap for the CPU and hardware.
