Is this the one you talking about?

Several people said that they actually has one that comes with i5-10th gen instead of i3 (a very significant upgrade). there are two ram slots so you can add more ram with more flexibility. only 1 ssd m2 nvme slot. also the HDMI is only 1.4 (compared to motile with hdmi 2.0. Both motile and this hp only have data only usb c). hp slightly heavier but maybe slightly more solid?
That's the one that I have and it did have the i5-10th gen

Didn't need one, bought one. Price is too good.

Most of the bad reviews are from BIOS or software bugs that could easily be remedied within a month from now. The hardware seems sound and the Ryzen CPU/APU is great. The price may not be this low for long, and I kicked myself for not getting the Overpowered laptop last year.
Just want to add on that my Overpowered 17+ is still running like a beast. Based on that I'm assuming this Motile laptop will last just as well

You can find coupons for another $20 off on eBay for $7 or so to make this even slicker.

Do these walmart coupons on ebay actually work? can anyone else verify?

just ran the cinebench r15. multicore: 608, single core 147. So it is faster than i7-8550u in multicore but significantly slower in single core. it beats the i5-8250u in both. Disclaimer: i5 and i7 -U 8th gen cpu speed are sometimes very dependent on oem thermal setup so could vary a lot. the i7 i have is the lenovo yoga 920 and the i5 i have is the lenovo flex5 and 720s. These scores are signficantly better than the i7-2600k i've been using for like ages now...lol

I think overall i am fairly happy about it. The real big plus is the HDMI 2.0 because i do need the 4K 60hz output to use with my 24in 4K monitor which i bring with me for traveling sometimes to do work

I do wish battery last 1-2 hr longer. also i don't like the plug prong being on the power brick instead of a separate cord. it's not a good stable set up for use on planes. Might have to look for a 3rd party power adaptor...

I bought this HP Envy 13 when it was available from Microsoft before Black Friday for $499.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p...chspecstab

At this price, I have to seriously consider returning it and getting this. The specs are less but I'm not sure enough to warrant a $200 difference. Should I switch to Motile? I'm most worried about reliability since its a new brand.

Meant to reply to this.

It's related to this deal. Lookup Walmart coupons on eBay to take $20 off the price of the laptop.

Edit: yes, I bought the 10% off for the "Happy to Help" coupon and it took $20 off. You can only use one per Walmart account.

Thanks for answers pinako, pulled the trigger.

I mistakenly thought I bought hp14 (with i5), but actually got dell inspiron 14 3000. That too also was i3, but had i5 1035g4. Looks like intel had trouble producing i3.

Unlike HP, the Walmart dell is 1366x768. I'd keep it if it was 1080p

Has anyone read reviews of people who have had this laptop for an extended period of months to a year? I feel like this is the kind of cheap thing that get good benchmark reviews but craps out after a year. What about buying an extended warranty through squaretrade or something?

there are a few plus for the hp like DP for the usb c as well as bigger battery capacity, the weight of hp is slightly more but its slightly smaller size. hp also has touchscreen

Both only have 1 ram slot. both have 4k 60hz output.

i guess the only real plus to the hp is the slightly larger battery capacity. and the touchscreen. but not sure if it's worth $200 more

For $10 more, the Lenovo Ideapad 330s seems like a better deal if you don't care too much about portability.. Dual memory and larger screen.

Wife has been on me for a windows laptop to replace her 2012 MacBook Air. Seems that buying the bundle that includes the mouse and backpack with a built in charging system (even if she just uses it to charge her phone) was well worth the additional cost. Since she pretty much just uses it to run word and social media stuff, this should be plenty powerful for her needs. $333.61 delivered for the bundle and I get credit for 3 Xmas presents. woot
