Well I was about ready to get 2 subway cards then i remembered how impossible it was last year to get a single card I ordered from Froger.....Think i'll just pay for my subs the old fashioned way....with cash.

I'm not at all familiar with this company, but they sent the gift cards immediately through e-mail.

I think he is referring to the odd way you need to use the gift card.... either online or in the App? Doesn't the QR code mentioned below mean I can scan it on my phone at the register (similar to Chipotle gift cards)? Or does subway not do this?

Register your Subway® eGift Card and use it to pay for remote orders or use in the Subway® App. Scan the QR code from your phone or from a paper print out (make sure your QR Code is not folded).
Fwiw...I, too, received the error message that the site encountered a problem and to try again, and I tried about 15 minutes later and it was successful.
I did use a different credit card but I don't think that was the issue - hunch is the system was overloaded with purchases as this is supposed to be for a few days rather than a flash sale.

I tried a 3rd time just now - and it went through.

I just added it to the app. You can use it to pay with the QR (The app also uses QR), but I just copied and pasted the Number/PIN[imgur.com]. This is the normal and only way to add gift cards to the app. In general, you should always use the app to pay at Subway because you lose no time (paying with phone is convenient) and the rewards are automatically applied to your account.
