Both are the same price, seems the series 5 has 1 extra HDMI port, slimmer design and 178 degree viewing angles. I would go for 5.

I paid for the same price for the 50" on Black Friday

. But I'm pretty shock by the picture quality per the price. Loving it for far.

Make sure you buy extended warranty on tcl tv. I brought a 55" tcl 4K tv and it died after 2 years of usage.

I wonder how is the picture quality compared to the $20 cheaper Insignia also on sale right now. That one is firetv vs roku.
