Glad to see depreciation speeding up for the X. It's a solid phone that deserves the positive reception it gets regarding its camera and feel. App lag is minimal to nonexistent. Migrating from a low-end Android, it was like entering a whole new world. Though the newer phones have better photo quality, dust/water resistance (IP68) and a newer processor, the X is also dust/water resistant (IP67) to an extent and sports a telephoto camera. If you're on the fence, consider getting one on eBay with a 10/15% promo code they tend to offer this time of year. Good sale price for an open box good condition is around $360 right now.

Apple's trade in value for the iPhone X is $400 assuming fully functional, all buttons work, and screen is OK. Apple does not consider the carrier-lock status in the trade in value.

I can confirm these are unlocked (ordered one last week that arrived this morning). YMMV as always on condition, but the one I received today looks virtually new, very clearly has an OEM screen (I held it next to an iPhone 11 Pro to compare), and battery health was 100%. Again, YMMV since these will all arrive in different conditions. Came on iOS 11 so somewhat surprised battery health was still showing 100%.

I still think the Visible deals on the 11 are probably better for most people since that comes new + includes a 1 year warranty (+1 year extension on most credit cards) + includes free year subscription to Apple TV+ and will be eligible for AppleCare+ (for those who want it).

If anyone is planning to activate these on Simple Mobile, PM for a free month of service.

I bought open box iphone 8 plus around October 2019. It came unlocked. So I assume this will also be unlocked. Someone who bought open box phone recently , can confirm.
