You can e-file 5 federal returns and install on multiple computers, I've shared it with family. If you buy the version including state, you can fill out multiple state returns, but e-file is still extra. You can always print out the state return and mail

The download version is basically the same as the disk version. It is completely different from the ONLINE version. The online version is more limited in general and will probably cost more with all the add-ons you need to buy.

The way this shows up in your order history and invoice will be a little unusual/unexpected. There will be a line for the TurboTax at the purchase price minus $10... and then a separate line item for a $10 Amazon gift card for $10. for most TT is much easier to use and is quite more intuitive

better answers by user = LoadStar

A few possible reasons:
- TurboTax has deals with many brokerages, financial institutions, and payroll systems that allows direct importing right into the software, without having to manually enter data. That's a big time saver for many.
- Some prefer the interface and/or workflow in TurboTax over H&R Block's software
- Some are just comfortable using TurboTax and unwilling to try something else
