In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are done, and they are out of t​he game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

Fyi for everyone that there are expansion packages that are a separate charge to play against. No one in the online uses the basic game anymore. So you have to purchase these extra packs unless you have friends that already have a them and play with them online only vs strangers

People do play the basic but it's a very simplified version. The expansions really make this a game to play.

Used to play the card game in the break room during lunch with coworkers when it first came out on kickstarter. Is the app version as good? I feel like there was a lot of enjoyment in having others around to watch their expressions when you destroy them. That would be lost playing online.
