While good for entry level systems, the reference series is okay at best.
Even something like the rp600m would sound better than most reference floorstanding speakers.
If you're main concern is how your money is distributed once you buy then yes take this into consideration.
If your main concern is what you pay for something and is it a good price to you, this is very irrelevant.
If there is a better price for this please let everyone know, pretty sure many people would love to know the better "deal"!

Well depends what you mean by "good receiver".
These are very efficient speakers so you don't need a lot of power to run them.
Yes you will need to research your model receiver to see if it decode's object based soundtracks.
