What would you use a 3-ft cable for? Straight recording I guess?

I ask as I will need cable in the future, but was thinking you'd need longer lengths, surely?

They can be useful if you're daisy chaining pedals that are too awkward or bulky to go in a pedal board.

If your setup is limited to right in front of you, then sure. If you've got different combos across the stage or around you, then no.

The only use I can think of is to go from the pedal board to the amp, in which case you wouldn't need 5 of them.

I would imagine that for an instrument or pedal board, you would want TRS (Balanced) rather than these TS (unbalanced) cables, but it will depend on your equipment.

3ft/1m is kind of a weird length as well.

Best use is for rack mounted outboard gear. Main L/R send out of your console into stereo Reverb into Stereo EQ, Into compressor back through a return. That is the primary function of a 3ft TS cable. I know of no other.

3ft is perfect from pedal board to amp when playing at home
